Scientific Papers
This edition of the Symposium has a call for scientific papers.
There will be a reward for the first scientific paper. There also will be special mentions both for scientific paper and innovator work.
Of all the papers presented in each topic the Scientific Committee will select 3 for being presented orally in 15 minutes each one into the Symposium program.
Instructions
The Scientific Committee of the V Symposium on Food Innovation and Development INNOVA 2011 will receive the abstracts until the deadline August 8th 2011 to innova@latu.org.uy.
Only abstracts received until the deadline and approved by the Scientific Committee will be presented in the poster form.
The Scientific Committee will send the notification of acceptance of abstracts on August 20th 2011.
At least one autor of each abstract submission will register for the Symposium and each registered person will present at the most two posters.
Format for the abstract:
- All text must be prepared in text editor Word for Windows, with Arial font size 12. Can be presented in English, Spanish or Portuguese. The document must be presented without spelling, grammatical or typographical errors.
- Title: centered, all caps and bold.
- Authors: centered; name uppercase and first name lowercase; only initials for middle names. Indicate with * the author who will present the poster.
- Place of work: name of the institution/s or companies to which the authors belong.
- E-mail: of the author that presents the abstract and who will receive the notification of acceptance or not.
- Abstract text: Separated from the above information with a double space. Must be typed single-spaced and have a maximum of 300 words. Will refer to the following: justification, objectives, materials and methods, results and discussion.
The poster must contain: title, authors, affiliation, place of performance, abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusions and references following the normal rules for scientific papers.
All figures and tables should be numbered and with their respective reference in the document.
Topics of interest for submission include and are limited to the Symposium topics:
- Food chains processes and sustainability
- Special dietary foods: needs, ingredients and processes
- Advances in food analysis: the interface between instrumentation, rapid methods, sensory and validation
